Description
The Hagstrom Alvar is a light and nimble semi-hollow guitar that blends a modern attitude with classic aesthetics. Its the smaller brother of Hagstroms Viking series designed to offer the same resonant and sweet semi-acoustic tones but with a much more agile feel from its petite body. Powering those tones is a ply-maple top for focus and projection and a pair of Hagstrom HJ-50 alnico V humbuckers for warm full-bodied sonics. Theyve got plenty of output for overdriven crunch and a precise articulation for defined cleans allowing them to adapt to any genre of your choosing. And whatever you want to play the Alvar has you covered. Its set-in mahogany neck is slim and comfortable while its fingerboard has Hagstroms own Resinator wood for a more open attack with improved sustain. Combined with a TOM bridge with stop bar tailpiece and Hagstrom designed tuning machines youll enjoy a stable tuning and accurate intonation every time you pick it up. The result is an instrument that plays like a dream in any musical situation. And to top it all off the Alvar looks as great as it sounds; its unique pickguard design and chrome accents are sure to stand out on any stage.
